In this blog, I will be creating multiple quick sketches of the human body, anatomy, costumes, etc. The class that this is for is called Cafe Sketch at the Columbus College of Art and Design; feel free to browse and comment at your leisure!

"In class" #10
For this in class assignment, I wasn't able to go to the ballet class so I decided to go to the Grant Hospital and draw the people inside (with permission of course).
The figures and postings are good. I think you should work on your perspective with background items more. The people in the wheel chairs in the bottom left, the floor and chairs look odd with the way they are drawn sitting.
Jordan, Absolutely brilliant ! Every one of these subjects has a solid silhouette, an interesting pose and a true sense of interaction through gesture. Yes - a little context or background would be nice - but the figures have such strong form that very small indications would be enough (which is what you are doing). My only comment would be to develop the hands and faces a little more where the subject's head is blank - but this drawing session was very successful. Great work !
