In this blog, I will be creating multiple quick sketches of the human body, anatomy, costumes, etc. The class that this is for is called Cafe Sketch at the Columbus College of Art and Design; feel free to browse and comment at your leisure!

"In class" #11
For this "in class", I went to the Columbus State Community College and saw quite a few interesting characters!
Jordan, I like that you are getting out and exploring different locations on your self-guided sessions. Please keep it up. These are all unique and have decent form and proportion. I think you ended up developing the line a little too heavily and evenly on them, in contrast to their surroundings. Please be sensitive to not overworking a subject's form in line to simply get more descriptive with folds, wrinkles, or buttons. Try to substitute the several strokes used to make a contour with fewer, more discriminating strokes, where you are trying to emphasize overlap or the shadow side of a limb or form.
I really like the pose in the top right, especially the facial expression, hair, and her left hand. Watch out for tangents though. The top line of the square thing she's got her leg up on runs right through the bottom line of her foot. Good work overall.
